The Determination Center provides innovative services to at-risk youth in Syracuse, NY. We strive to enhance the lives of those we serve — supporting and collaborating with our kids, enabling them to be more self-directed and self-motivated, and helping them construct healthy, independent, productive, stable lives.

2010
The Determination Center is founded
Mrs. Bettie Graham opens the doors at 344 East Brighton Ave. with a simple belief: every young person deserves a safe space and a fair chance.
2014
School partnerships take root
Collaboration begins with the Syracuse City School District, bringing tutoring and mentoring into alignment with classroom learning.
2018
Programs expand beyond youth
Elder care, environmental, and pet programs launch — because strong communities support every generation.
